Dear Friend,
The Central Maryland Dart League will be hosting their Annual Dart Tournament to
benefit the Make-A-Wish Foundation® of the Mid-Atlantic, Inc., during the weekend of October 24-26, 2008. The event will be held at the Holiday Inn in Laurel, MD.
In preparation for this event, the Central Maryland Dart League will conduct a variety
of fundraising initiatives to benefit the Foundation.
We, along with the Central Maryland Dart League, would appreciate any support that you could provide in connection with the 2008 Make-A-Wish® Maryland Open Dart Tournament.
The Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic grants the wishes of children with
life threatening medical conditions. Since 1983, nearly 6,000 local children have
experienced the power of a wish. Last year alone, we reached 330 children who each
were able to realize their greatest wish. For so many of these children, their daily lives
are filled with hospitals, doctors and medical treatment. A wish gives each child a
chance to plan, anticipate and experience their most heartfelt wish. It is our goal to
provide a magical experience for each of these children. This vital wish therapy has
become part of the healing process for so many.
Please recognize that the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Mid-Atlantic was granted
exemption from Federal Income Tax under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue
Code effective September 22, 1983. If you require documentation of the Foundation’s
tax exempt status please call us at 301-962-9474.
Thank you for helping to share the power of a wish®
Sincerely,
Catherine C. Martens
